What's the best way to get information on gift and/or decor wholesalers?
I have opened a General Store in a small tourist town. We specialize in Texas & Louisiana items, as well as lodge and cabin decor.
Have you ever gone to a "gift show"? The trade magazines should have current dates & location listings for your area. I am only familiar with the California area & we have them yearly in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego. I haven't been involved in about 15 years, but I know retailers are still attending these buying shows. The shows are seasonal. Ask a sales rep from one of your suppliers. You can also get a lot of info at your local library. In the reference section you will find telephone books for all areas. Find the one that is titled "Business to Business Directory" & there you will find the listings of wholesalers you can contact. Have fun finding items!
