why does it take long for my solder to melt?
[i am just a beginner but still want to learn.] i tried soldering some stranded copper wires, but the solder took a very long time [about a minute] to melt into the copper. I use a 30 W soldering iron and a 60/40 rosin core flux.
You might not have let your soldering iron heat up long enough.
