Army Regulations for traditional Customs and Courtesies?
I'm trying to find if there are any additional regulations covering traditional Customs and Courtesies. What I mean by that is, standing at Attention for an Officer, Standing at Parade Rest for an NCO...stuff like that. I have found them in FM 7-21.13 (The Soldiers Guide), which is supposed to be a compounded reference for soldiering. I can't however, seem to find it in any of the ARs I have browsed through. Does anyone know if that information is still in an AR, or has it been permanently moved to FM 7-21.13
There are no sinister intentions with this question. Besides the fact, the information I am asking for, I already stated is in FM 7-21.13. Which is a collection of information from other ARs and FMs. I'm trying to find if the information I asked for is also stated elsewhere.
I've checked 600-20 & 600-25. Didn't really see anything. I guess the only place is the FM. This question was for board prep if anyone was wondering
If they happen to be in an AR, off the top of my head, I would say to check AR 600-20 and AR 600-25. But just remember that an FM in many a case is the regulation. For example, think about the guidelines and standards for an APFT or range qual - all found in an FM, not an AR. As a result, the FM is the regulation and an AR is not needed. Much, perhaps, like Customs and Courtesies.
