2002 volvo s80, heat with radio?

I just put in subs into my 2002 Volvo s80, and when replacing the radio with a new pioneers one and putting the heat panel back, the heat did no longer work. I am trying to figure out what may be wrong, but is there any way that the radio configuration has anything to do with how the heat and a/c in the car functions?
